GPS Area Calculator Pro

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GPS Area Calculator Pro handles information when you use the Android and iOS apps. The app is designed to let you measure area and distance on a map, look up addresses, save boundaries locally, and export results from your device.

Core Privacy Points

1. What the App Does

GPS Area Calculator Pro lets you trace map points, measure land area, calculate route distance, view segment lengths, find addresses from map coordinates, and export your results. The app also includes locally saved boundaries and an Android-only site proof camera workflow.

2. Information the App Uses

Depending on the feature you use, the app may work with map points, GPS coordinates, route measurements, selected map locations, reverse-geocoded addresses, locally saved area names, and export files that you intentionally generate.

3. Location Permission

Location access is used for features such as Locate Me, Walk & Track, current-location address lookup, and camera recenter actions. You can still add map points manually and use core measurement features without granting location permission.

4. Camera Permission

On Android, camera access is used only for the Site Proof Camera feature. That feature captures a photo in-app and can combine it with time, address, coordinates, and a small map snapshot when available. If you do not use this feature, camera access is not needed.

5. Saved Areas and Local Storage

Saved boundaries are stored locally on the device. The current codebase also stores app preferences such as theme selection on-device. The app does not require an online account to save this local data.

6. Exports and Sharing

When you choose to export, the app generates files locally on your device. Export formats may include PDF, PNG, JPEG, or JSON depending on the feature. Shared files include the information needed for the export you requested, such as map snapshots, measurements, coordinates, timestamps, and related labels.

7. Address Lookup and Reverse Geocoding

The address finder feature and parts of the site proof flow may attempt to convert coordinates into a readable address using platform geocoding services. If an address is unavailable, the app falls back to showing coordinates instead of blocking core usage.

8. Third-Party Services

The app uses Google Maps for map rendering and related map functionality. Store actions such as rating the app or discovering more apps use platform store services such as Google Play or the Apple App Store. Those third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

9. Your Controls

You can clear map data, delete saved areas, stop GPS tracking, remove exported files from locations you control, and revoke permissions from Android or iOS system settings at any time.

10. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app changes. When material updates are made, the policy date will be revised to reflect the latest version published with the app.
